Dayton

Dayton is the sixth-largest city in the state of Ohio. I visited Dayton when I was doing my masters in Ohio. It is three hours from Cincinnati. The best way to commute in The United States is no doubt renting a car. I rented a car from enterprise and started in the morning to The National Museum of the United States Air Force. The museum’s collection contains many rare aircraft of historical or technological importance. I visited once with my friends, fell in love with museum and took my dad the second time.

Bockscar, sometimes called Bock’s car, is the name of the United States Army Air Forces B-29 bomber that dropped a Fat Man nuclear weapon over Japanese city of Nagasaki during World War 2 in the second and last nuclear attack in history.

Don’t forget to pay a visit to the Wright Cycle Co which is 8 miles away from the museum. It was built in 1886, this Victorian building once housed the Wright brothers’ bicycle business.

We got food from a Chinese carry out had our lunch at Five Rivers MetroParks lake which is close to the museum.

After lunch we headed to the America’s Packard museum which is less than 2 miles from the lake. America’s Packard Museum is an automotive museum located in Dayton, Ohio.
